 4. Print Review for Apprentice Members

 a. Print Review occurs up to four times each year to evaluate the development of Apprentice members

b. Print Review will be done by three NCPP members appointed by the Print Competition Chair – a Master of Photography or Craftsman, a seasoned Certified Professional Photographer and a recent CPP – will evaluate the Apprentice‟s prints for qualities that are needed for the prints to be “saleable.”

c. The Print Review Committee will certify each print meeting that standard on the Apprentice‟s record sheet.

 e. The Review Committee will provide written comment to the Apprentice on any improvements needed for each print and retain a copy of the comment for the next review.

f. The Print Competition Chair and the Membership Development Chair comprise the Print Review Committee, which reports to the President and the Board.

 d. If an Apprentice enters a satisfactory image subject to the standard rules for submission in Monthly Print Competition, the Print Competition Chair will enter the result on the Apprentice‟s record sheet.1) Photographer of the Year will be awarded to the photographer who has the highest total of points for the calendar year, calculated as follows:• PPA Style and People’s Choice competition:1) Year End People’s Choice Competition will be held at the November meeting.2) All entries that received a first, second or third place award during the year may be entered.

 2) Deadline for entries will be announced at the meeting, published in the Focal Point, and sent by e-mail to NCPP members. Prints and album entries must be packaged securely – print cases are best – and delivered to the designated location by the stated deadline.

Focal Point and also sent by e-mail to NCPP members.2) Entries for People‟s Choice may be framed, or in albums, mounted to alternative substrates, etc., in addition to PPA style mounted prints.

Note – In PPA national judging, entries by be submitted in the form of a Traditional Album or a CD format Album. Album size must be 400 square inches or smaller, and multiple albums are not allowed. And there is a separate category – Multiple Photographer Album – for events that require more than one photographer photographing at the event.

• Includes studio and environmental portraiture, wedding and illustrative images. Original capture may be made on film or with a digital camera.
